Economic Initiatives

Economic initiatives We not only want to work with suppliers that meet our financial, quality and operational standards. We seek to collaborate with companies that share our desire to act respectfully to people and responsibly to the environment.

As described in our Code of Conduct, we strive to maintain lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers by treating them with respect, honesty and professionalism.

Working with local communities

A main aim of many of our Service Level Agreements is to recruit local people into local jobs. This initiative has proved highly successful, particularly with local authorities where, for example, we supplied 78% of a client’s temporary workforce from the local area.

Supporting charities

Our programme of voluntary work supports a different charity every year. We supported our first chosen charity, Marie Curie, through such fundraising events as a charity quiz night, Christmas Party photo competition, and by championing the ‘Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party’ initiative. Our next supported charity was the Peace Hospice: a centre of excellence offering free palliative care for people with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. To date, we have raised £5,000 for the Peace Hospice through various events.

Employment Business Partnerships

At Carlisle Managed Solutions, we want to put our skills to work in the community. This commitment has led us to work with schools in Greater London, Brighton, Manchester and Plymouth, helping run free career workshops for students.
