Background

Carlisle Managed Solutions has been the Human Resources services partner to Luton Borough Council for eight years providing a comprehensive range of services to the Council.

In the current economic climate, Public Sector organisations are under increasing pressure to make budget savings, often resulting in a reduction of head count through redundancy. This need drove the Information Management department at Luton Borough Council to analyse their business needs and structure resulting in the closure of a specialist unit. Some of the employees concerned had long term careers with the Council and therefore required specialist assistance to make the transition to their next role.
