Service

The company appointed Carlisle to manage resourcing for a wide variety of temporary and permanent roles. These included positions in key account management, technical sales, engineering, research and development, manufacturing, finance, project management, administration, and after-sales care. At first, we focused on resourcing immediate vacancies and implementing consistent processes that would secure high-quality candidates.

Working closely with Philips, our project team implemented the solution at its head office complex in just ten weeks. After establishing clear objectives, we created and delivered a solution that met Philips’ immediate and longer-term needs. Our team also now plans resourcing and advises Philips on the best approach to filling vacancies. Depending on the role's complexity and expected demand, we use a variety of techniques, including:

  • A monthly vacancy bulletin for all employees to encourage internal recruitment
  • Recruitment advertising, working with HR and marketing teams to ensure the adverts reflect the Philips brand
  • Managing a supply chain of specialist recruitment agencies
  • Attending graduate recruitment fairs and advertising on specialist site job boards

Carlisle advises Philips on the best selection processes and provides impartial advice to make sure the company offers roles to the right candidates. This involves managing the interview process, acting as an impartial interviewer and training hiring managers on interviewing techniques.

The selection process is different for every role. However, some of the techniques we use to obtain a shortlist for final interviews include screening CVs, telephone interviews, competency-based face-to-face interviews with managers, job-specific testing, personality profiling and running assessment centres.

Once we notify a candidate of success, our 'Keep In Touch' communications programme engages them until the first day in their new role. After starting, the candidate completes detailed questionnaires that measure their satisfaction and help us continually improve our processes.
