Joining Carlisle's preferred supplier list requires you to complete a pre-screening questionnaire and sign a supplier contract for each account. We expect potential suppliers to meet the following criteria:
Insurance
We require all suppliers to hold appropriate levels of public, professional and employers' liability insurance.
Professional body status
Wherever possible, we expect agencies to be members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). If the agency isn't a member, you must be able to show that it adheres to the same standards of best practice.
Quality
Suppliers must show they follow quality standards, such as ISO or their equivalents, and that they are committed to quality procedures and continuously improving their processes.
Financial viability
Supplier must be able to demonstrate that they are financially stable and provide copies of accounts, if requested.
Capacity and capability
Suppliers must be able to demonstrate that they have the capacity, experience and capability necessary to supply our clients.
Legal and compliance
Suppliers must be able to demonstrate that they comply with all relevant regulations. These include, but are not limited to, ensuring the correct contract of services and employment for temporary workers, adhering to criminal conviction disclosures, and complying with 'right to work in the UK' guidelines.
Environmental
Suppliers must provide details of their environmental policy and the practical steps they take to ensure sustainability.
Diversity
We are committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce regardless of ethnicity, disability, age or religion. We work closely with our clients to achieve their diversity and equal opportunity objectives, and to ensure they comply with current legislation. Suppliers must demonstrate the same in principle and practice through their policies and staff training procedures.
Health and safety
Suppliers must show that they have adequate health and safety policies and procedures in place.
Service delivery
Suppliers must be able to deliver in line with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and demonstrate high levels of customer service.
Partnership commitment
We seek to work with suppliers that share our commitment to working in partnership. Through regular review meetings, we aim to continually improve this relationship.
